Where is the forum server?
On my mobile (well, smartyphone) the time was given as 9:36pm, but here in water-free CA, it is 6:36pm. I thought SS was in Ohio but is the server on East coast?

Most of Michigan is in the Eastern Time Zone. The four counties of Dickinson, Gogebic, Iron and Menominee, in the western Upper Peninsula, are in the Central Time Zone.JPG wrote:As well as most of Indiana and all of michigan.
So all is almost all.

No not a Al Gore follower. Al Gore is the part of the horse that goes over the fence last.dusty wrote:Oh No! Another of Al Gore's followers.Ed in Tampa wrote:Hey if the ice caps keep melting Ohio may be the east coast In a few years.
But the climate is changing.
Lived in Florida for 36 years. For the first 20 or so you could set your watch by the rain fall at 3:00 each afternoon in the summer. Now it may or may not rain in a week.
Secondly we lived here 32 years and never saw the temperature go higher than 92. Sea breeze and all would prevent it going higher. Now the temperature is commonly above 92 during the summer. We had relatives living in the Carolina's and we would kid them about going south to cool down.
I don't know what or why the weather is changin and I don't think it is because of anything Al Gore thought up, but I do think it is changing.
How much well let's just say when I bought my house in 79 it was 22 miles inland from the Gulf and now I'm building a dock in my front yard. KIDDING!

Re: Where is the forum server?
All I can say is that I was in Florida (on my way to Ascension Island) in June of 1967 and it was miserable hot and muggy. I don't believe that was a part of "climate change" but it is the basis for what I think Florida weather is like. On my return from the island, the heat there was just as bad.

I don't disagree that the climate seems to be changing but I disagree it is a result of man. Man has been on this planet for a blink of an eye in the history of our solar system let alone the universe as a whole.
Try this sometime. Lay in bed at night and try to comprehend the term "Infinity". REALLY try to comprehend it. That is what we as the human race think the universe is, infinite. What the heck does that mean!
How about the Woolly Mammoth that disappeared 10,000 years ago. By all accounts it was because of climate change. They lived in the jungles of Siberia and Alaska. Has anyone seen a jungle in Alaska or Siberia?
A quote from Wikipedia ...
"It disappeared from its mainland range at the end of the Pleistocene 10,000 years ago, most likely through climate change and consequent shrinkage of its habitat, hunting by humans, or a combination of the two."
We have no clue how all this works even though we have figured out some of the basics like orbital mechanics and magnetism and electricity and a few other things.
Thank you Al Gore for inventing the internet so we can all discuses this. Oh crap did I really say that!
