Fir Spindles, circa: 1940. 28 Spindles, 3 newel posts and two pieces of straight banister! All a donation, from a dear friend!
Everything has been dipped. No old paint, at all. This was done, approximately 25 years ago. They were also treated with a coat of shellac, at this time. The largest newel post, its top ball is unfortunately split, beyond saving.
So what to do with them?
Any ideas?!?

WxDxH dimensions in inches: 48x19x52
These deacons benches will be more for removing and or putting on shoes and will likely be placed in a foyer. Seat depth will be restricted to "only" 19 inches.

That is even better, can be used by everyone for many years ... I made one 10 years ago out of scrap 2x12 from a shelving project I did. Everyone still thinks it is an antique ....ExtraMile wrote:I am actually thinking more on the order of Deacons Benches!rjent wrote:That has something like a crib written all over it ....ExtraMile wrote:Fir Spindles, circa: 1940. 28 Spindles, 3 newel posts and two pieces of straight banister!
