New to me Power Stand

Post by whsewardiv »

I just acquired an older "machine specific" power stand, with the older style jig saw. I was wondering if it's possible to use it with the newer style scroll saw, and if so what will I need to make it work. And...if anyone has a copy of the manual for it, I'd be greatful for a copy

Thanks

AAUI, the differences between different SPTs is the pulleys that determine speed. They all mount in the 'SPT mount.

However there is a scroll saw specific power stand. I think that has to do with the self power version.

Lotta conjecture!!!

Shopsmith's Pulley Guard Manual gives the belt and pulley info needed to adapt the Power Stand to almost any SPT, including the scroll saw.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)
