Bandsaw drive pulley removal

Hello Shopsmithers, this is my 1st question post from a purchaser of a pre-loved Model 510. Enjoyed reading the forums the past few months.

Blew the drive tire on the bandsaw and ordered/received 555644 Bandsaw Tire and Adhesive Kit. Read the manual, sheet that can with the kit and the forum on how to remove the Hub/Pulley. Before I hook up my winch was hoping there was a easier more logical way to remove it. Odd I didn't see any keeper on the shaft holding to the shaft.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated and Thank You in advance. Also read in the forums that a picture is always better to assess the problem. See attached.

Remove the bolt above the axle. Part 30 here: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/manuals/845541.pdf

Once you have removed the keeper bolt mentioned above, remove the drive hub from the other side, and then you should be able to tap the shaft out with a few gentle taps from a deadblow or rubber mallet. It should come right off so be ready to catch it.

One more note of caution. Over speeding the bandsaw will cause the tire to expand and come off the wheel. The bandsaw should be run on slow speed.

I know that first hand. It was not done intentionally. I now when changing operations bring the speed back to "A".
