4 Step Pulley

Post by megastevo81 »

Hi All

The time has finally come that I can start to restore my 4e jointer. I have been looking for a while trying to find the 4 step pulley required to drive it but unfortunately it is proving difficult to find. I have only seen 1 jointer for sale in Australia and that one is being sold along side with the 10e for $1000

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction to find the pulley? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I was lucky enough to get a jointer and all the mounting hardware along with my 10ER. A lot of the accessories were still in the original Magna boxes.

On my system, the jointer drive pulley is actually a separate 5" pulley. But when stacked on the motor shaft with the regular 3-step pulley, it does indeed look like a 4-step pulley.

Here's a link to the jointer mounting-kit instructions on VintageMachinery.org. It also shows the 5" drive pulley as a separate pulley.

You can get the pulley at McMaster.com. But their shipping charges are pretty high, so you may do better elsewhere.
