SS tips
I got a sale item from the MS via email, in it a new thing, a Shop Tip for the shop from the MS, first time I have noticed that, nice touch, but my WW mags I get send shop tips via email if you give them it. Glad to see they are getting up to date on that kinda stuff.

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Re: SS tips
My Bad, never noticed it b4 in my email sales notices. But then again a few weeks ago we had a sale and went through a whole issue here that got ugly about a size thing they did put in the email add, that the admin added later.

Re: SS tips
I hate acronyms!
Especially when they are spelled wrong
A good acronym can be pronounced as a word.
Worse than acronyms are two letter abbreviations. These seem to be used mostly in e-mail. Not so appropriate in forums, where something is trying to be asked, answered or told.
If the writer doesn't give a shit if he/she is understood, then abbreviations get used.
What the Hell is "MS"
and why do I really care? Except, when did Microsoft start giving shop tips?.

Re: SS tips
That one had me stumped too, and Microsoft was indeed the first thing that came to mind. But it eventually dawned on me that what we have here is probably a contraction of a nickname. My theory is that MS=Mothership.charlese wrote:I hate acronyms!Especially when they are spelled wrong

Re: SS tips
God forbid some one prints M V, instead of Mark V or Mark Five, or M VII, instead of Mark 7, or greenie or goldie. Now if I was on a computer forum I would think MS would be Microsoft, which is one word, and would be confused by MS instead of just M, compared to MS, as mother ship as in 2 words.
So excuse me if I was on a SS forum, which also discusses wood working and these abbreviations are used on a regular bases, just like ER, Experimental Revision. If it was not Dec, oh excuse me December, I would have thought it was Easter time and a cross was coming to crucify me.

Re: SS tips
As always, the context is crucial.
Point taken however!
