wood and brass

I made a Ferris wheel and am having trouble attaching brass rods in a .25 hole to the top and bottom of the wood. What type of glue or another adhesive can I use . Thanks woodworkers for your help.

2 part epoxy will definitely bond brass to wood permanently.
Gale's Law: The bigger the woodworking project, the less the mistakes show in any photo taken far enough away to show the entire project!
