Muskrat, Oh Muskrat

Post by reible »

I don't know why I remember this old tune but I do. Well at least today I do, tomorrow who knows.

So on today's walk what should I come upon but a muskrat. A lot of wind and he/she was busy eating so I snapped a few pictures from up pretty close. This is my favorite.

Just because I have been ask a few times about how I get as close as I do well that is not always what it seems. Here is an example. They are shot from the same spot and within a few moments of each other. This is straight off the camera and no alterations.

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

We were on baby sitting duty yesterday again so I'm really behind on so so many many things.

The camera I have has a range of 24-840mm (35mm equivalent).

For general thinking this is a 40X type camera. I'm thinking I'm about due for another one with just a bit more zoom or one with a larger image sensor but I also have some tools that are calling my name. Going in for my eye exam on Thusday so that will be some big bucks without insurance.... the wife also needs new glasses, oh where will it all end??? So the camera is down the list a fair ways.
