I purchased a Yuba Power Products Mark 5, 1957 according to the Serial #, she is a bit rough, but I believe I can make her shine.

Please jump in and tell me if I can't do this, because parts won't swap.

My plan is to take the guts, motor, drive system and double Bearing Quill out of my 1981 Mark 5, when I update my 81 to the new power pro upgrade, when it arrives, and install them in the headstock on this Greenie. I had planned to go with the original colors, but am leaning heavily to a Satin Dark Gray.

Any way here are the picture shortly after she arrived at her new home.

Your thoughts?

P.S. I paid $80.00, and I know where the Jointer and Belt Sander that actually came with this unit are and the guy that has them said he would give them to me if I bought this SS.

$80 plus the jointer and bandsaw thrown in for free?! Helluva deal! Your pictures remind me of when I brought my '56 home almost a year ago. Can't wait to watch the restoration!

Almost. It is likely a Gilmer drive. A complete set of poly-v parts will fit/work.

And my 81 with the updated 2 bearing quill and the poly v drive solves that.[/quote]

Almost. It is likely a Gilmer drive. A complete set of poly-v parts will fit/work.

And because I updated the 81 with a 2 bearing quill and poly v belts, that solves that problem.

Now, please weigh in on the color, should I stick to the original or go Satin Dark Gray, I am really torn between the two . I like the Gray, but the 2 tone Green would be original. ??????????
