Wi weather, and Mom

Post by ERLover »

Just a bit of WI weather and taking care of Mom,
First Mom is not a load, she is very appreciative of me. But it is my burdensome I gladly took on.
So yesterday I had mom out and about 70* and sunny, today 35 and flurries all day, poor Robins.
Mom likes the Packers and Brewers, home opener today, but we got a roof, mom sez, only 3 players from last year, what happened to ?????? as she named off all there names, going on 96 in May, I put her up against anyone here, except on SS stuff. Brewers are rebuilding, they kept only 3 major players and sold the rest off for futures and brought up a bunch from the minors, by the end of the game she had them all down pat, and mom does not speak Spanish! ;)
So tomorrow is are Primary Election, WI is a big turn state, took mom out Friday for early voting, tonight big town hall meetings on FOX with Kelly, mom is the oldest, one sis is 94 a lib, next 90 a Conservative, and next 89, I dont know what, they all did a 3 way on the phone, it was like a teenage pajama party, laughing and giggling. They are all sharp as tacks mentally. Good genes in my family.
As bad as my boring days are and I do have free time, every night when I help mom to bed, she sez, "Thanks for another great day"
Thats all I need!!! :) Cuz she is my mom, and was always there for me when I needed something in the past. I guess she paid it forward b4 that was known.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

So Wednesday was hearing aid day, one that went into her ear, it hurt from the start even though it was molded, Audiologist did not propose a behind the ear one with the little tube into the ear, because of her glasses and O2 tubes that are there, but it works, so next week to get that one.
Mom last night at dinner,
left over Prime Rib, Broccoli, and my mashed potatoes, salad reds, peeled, then when done, and drained, butter, hand mashed, then some halfnhalf, whip, then a dapple of sour cream, mix in, she has had them b4, so here is the question, were those Stoffers or Bob Evens mashed potatoes? No mom, no process stuff here, all from scratch.
She loves Turkey and Chick wings.
To night I made her a Turkey wing, she loves them and chick wings, she said is that a big chick wing or a small turkey wing? Even if it was a chick wing from a Capon, it would not be close in size to a turkey wing. Mashed potatoes, and asparagus.
But I love her!!

Lover, try adding some Ranch dressing powder to the mashed potatoes.

Also, if you're inclined, use baby red potatoes, or baby Yukon Gold spuds.
Leave the peels on. All the "good" restaurants are doing that, here.
They also make them "home-style." Which is slightly lumpy.

Yes, if you've got a speed-changer, your Model 10 can mash them!
(Don't make me find the link!) :D

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

Lucky to still have your mother!

I just had to say good bye to mine, far too young. She was only 67.

Thank you. She had always put her trust in the lord and although I miss her, I believe that she is in a much better place now.
