WOW, that is a surprise. I wonder if that will be a national thing? WC and SS teaming up.

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Times They Are A Changing
This is a good sign.
I can't wait til this happens at my Woodcraft outlet. There are two store employees there who have bad mouthed my devotion to Shopsmith. It will do my heart good to listen to them spouting the virtues of a "Power Pro by Shopsmith".
I hope it sits on the floor right along side of the SawStop that they have so predominately displayed for a few years now.

Re: Shopsmith at WoodCraft
There once was a lash up between Shopsmith and Woodcraft (back in the good ole days).
That went south for some reason. At one time Woodcraft were doing headstock rebuilds and such. I'm trying to remember the time frame was it right before Shopsmith opened their own stores or right after they closed them? I think it was right after. I remember I went to Woodcraft in Orlando (at the time the closest store) to get some spare parts. They had a section of the store setup for Shopsmith products. I don't remember if the sold Mark V from the store or not.
The Woodcraft store here in the Tampa area has an old Shopsmith salesman working in the store. He was the one that sold me my Shopsmith. We often discuss the good old days of Shopsmith.

The shopsmith store I use to go to I believe became a woodcraft store.... A friend invited me to go along to the woodcraft store and when we got there it was I believe in the same store or at least in the same shopping strip mall area.

I think the same thing had happened by I-69 on the northeast side of Indy... all before I became an owner and member.reible wrote:The shopsmith store I use to go to I believe became a woodcraft store.... Woodcraft stores are all franchises. I suppose Shopsmiths are up to the franchisee.
