Hi. New Shopsmith owner here. She was made on April 26th 1993. She came with a couple of boxes of stuff. Bandsaw attachment, joiner, table saw, drill press, dado blades, manuals and all original books, original apron and cover as well as dustpan and brush. Lathe chisels, sanding disc, vacuum attachment, clamps, extra bearings, etc.

$750 out the door.

I spun the speed dial without it running and broke some teeth.

Just kidding. I read up a bit before buying and most definitely did not do that, although the first one I looked at this morning was a 1950s model and the elderly gentleman did spin the dial without it running. I passed on that one. I do believe it was a "Greenie".

I'm looking forward to putting time in on this forum and snagging all the info I can from you guys. This is going to be fun!

I saw that. I'm going to take my time before I get started. There is so much I need to learn before I turn it on (we plugged it in and ran it before we bought it).

Aloha - sweet deal with some very nice "extras", those would really add up if purchased separately. Looks well maintained too.

I can attest to the "fun" factor, I've had my used 510 for a month and enjoy trying the different functions and have found it to be a useful addition to my shop.

Ah, I thought you had mis-typed "jointer", but I see in the 4th pic down, you really did mean "joiner". That is the biscuit joiner--I just finally bought one of those myself this month (used, but in box and good shape) and I'm excited to use it!

Looks like a great find. 23 years is young for a ShopSmith, especially a well-maintained one, but she still will treat you better with a little TLC up front. Welcome!

Thanks, everybody. The guy with the Greenie wanted $450 but it had hardly anything to come with it.
