Early Father's Day gift to myself
It's a little early I know but since it arrived today I thought I let you see it.
I'm not going to chance giving anyone a heart attack from sticker shock and I'm not going to explain what it is for. Those that know know the rest of you can do your conjecturing.
It is cnc cut out, made from rigid Phenolic European plywood that is 3/4" thick. As you can see it is 18" and a triangle. Extremely accurate for what it is and I've checked it for square.
If you just have to have details from me send me a PM and I'll give you details. My guess is there are people here who know what this is for but hold off posting that information for a while so we can see what others come up with. It'll be more fun that way.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

I had no clue, but you dropped a couple of hints. What regularly induces sticker shock in woodworkers? Festool products. Festool stuff is green. It looks like a square, and you checked it for square.
So I Googled "Festool square", went to images, and got this hit right away.

Re: Early Father's Day gift to myself
Friday nights here are often slow so I thought this might be a cure for that. Well everyone was pretty fast and the mystery has been solved.
When doing the alignment of a MFT the added height of this square helps a lot. It's intended for that or other purposes where such a square would be of useful. The 18" means you get a good amount of surface to check against. Found this on the FOG site.
The price of $25 is not the killer but when you add the $16 for shipping it hurts a bit. If you happened to live in Culver City CA then you could save that postage and make this a lot more affordable.
