So, I have figured out with your help, where I went wrong with the Kreg bandsaw fence. Now, a question... WTF is this set screw for? It's definitely in my way!

It is on the far left of the bandsaw table.

It is the screw that provides a stop when the blade is 90 deg to the table. But you have to set it. It may be too long and if it is use a shorter one.

It is the stop screw that sets the table back to 90* after you have tilted it. It has a lock nut on the under side. When properly adjusted it sets the table to be 90* to the left and right of the blade. The lock nut keeps it from moving. That set screw will be below the table when properly adjusted.

Maybe this "light reading" will help. Reference page 18.

Well, thank you! I bought this bandsaw on Ebay and thought i had worked the bugs out. This should be the last one. I usually use a squre to be sure i'm at 90 degrees. Don't trust them screws!

It is not the screw that must be trusted! It is the one who set the screw and then the lock nut that you must learn to trust.
