Pro Plainer limits

Well..., I guess you can only put so much rustic hickory through the machine befor you have to sharpen the blades. (And it ain't much!)
Wife won't be happy I didn't finish that cabinet this weekend.

Please explain why this is a Pro Planer issue. What is "Rustic Hickory"? Dirty reclaimed wood? How much is "And it ain't much!"?
I have used my Pro Planer for years without sharpening the blades. Mostly Oak and hard Maple.

What was the feed rate? Depth of cut? Brd Ft ran through it? Condition of the blades when started?

I was wishing my blades would last forever but.....
Anyway, after about a year and a half of ordinary use on common boards my project called for cabinet fronts of rustic hickory. The 1st three board Plaines out nicely, no bog down, no issues. But after a few passes with the next three, I started getting what at first I though might be marks from the outfeed roller but I think they are scorch marks. When they started to get worse the motel started to bog down too. Could bee the outfeed roller. IDK.
What do you all think?

Maybe a good waxing of the tables, it can make a big difference, and clean the roller.

Knots and grain changes are tuff on jointer/plainer blades also.

If you are bogging the motor down my guess is too high a feed rate with too deep of a cut along with dull blades.
FWIW, I have never had the motor bog down on my Pro Planer. But, I seldom takes cuts greater than 1/16" and I don't ever run it at the fastest feed rate either.

FWIW, I have never had the motor bog down on my Pro Planer. But, I seldom takes cuts greater than 1/16" and I don't ever run it at the fastest feed rate either.
I had it on the slowest speed setting and only taking off a 1/4 turn of the handle. I'm pretty sure it's dull blades. Easy enough to sharpen.
