Is There a Reason
for the DC3300 Dust Collector Bags to be so much larger in diameter than is needed to fit onto the DC3300.

Re: Is There a Reason
I am sure it is a common offering by a supplier rather than something made for the DC3300.
I just fold it over. My DC3300 came with little clips around the circumference that holds the bag in place until I can get the ring in place so it is no problem to me.

Re: Is There a Reason
What Ed said... But it is a PITA! More a pain is trying to keep the bag from tearing on the bottom where the bolts come thru the platform... Someday I'll address that.

Re: Is There a Reason
Don't have that DC so don't know how much bigger it is..but with HF dust collector I had a problem with the steel band cutting into the bags and causing leaks, also the bags were slightly larger and bunched up some, clips were mostly useless. I got some of that stick on one inch rubber door seal and put it around the metal part of the DC, seal is much better and the bands seats into the rubber and the bags...doesn't leak anymore. Thinking it might solve your problem too, bags are much snugger now, (lol..if that is a word) don't even need the clips to hold it up when putting the band on it.

Re: Is There a Reason
It is just a nuisance. A frustration that I could do without but thankfully the DC3300 works as advertised.
