DC3300 remote question

Would like to use a remote switch with my SS dust collector - seems like I'm always on the wrong side of the shop when I need to turn it on.

Specs state this unit uses an 8 amp/1/2 HP induction start motor.

Located a remote switch transmitter/receiver at the local hardware store which states 15 amp/1875W resistive rating.

Is this switch acceptable for use with the DC3300?

[Fairly OK with grain and stain, but not much good on electrical stuff!]

Thanks!
keninar

The kicker is 'resistive'. It may not like the motor inductance.

FWIW, I use the one Woodcraft sells. I used it with a 1 1/2HP JDS dust collector and now I use the same one on my Clearvue cyclone.

Q I have been using the Long Ranger from Penn State for a couple of years and I am very satisfied with it. Has pocket remote which you can just tuck it into shirt pocket
