I am new to woodworking, though I was active in high school, but that was over 20 years ago.

I have a grandchild on the way and would like to make a changing table for my daughter and son-in-law. I am looking for a plan that is simple yet looks nice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I made a Combo Changing Table & Dresser three years ago. I was able to get a very good plan from U-Bild, phone no. 1-800-82-U-Bild. Better yet, go to their web site at http://www.u-bild.com, and look up Plan No. 937!
I remember looking around at different plans and styles, and settled upon this one! It is relatively easy to build.

I built one for my son last summer/fall. I've got the plans from "The WoodPost" from Lowe's. I can forward the plan to you and follow this link for my pictures of the table. https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?t=1579 Its all made from baltic birch and poplar and is basically held together by pocket jointery. (do yourself a favor if you decide to do this and buy the Kreg K3 pocket hole jig kit........its awesome)

It took me some time to do this plan completely but it was mostly because I have a pretty busy schedule. Material costs were about $400ish (give or take a couple of screw ups ) Better yet for me, I got to purchase more tools for the project!!!!! (love my Kreg router table and pocket jig!!!)

Thank you to those who replied to my post. I have ordered the plans from U-build and hope to start soon. I will keep updates on how it turns out.
