Newish bird feeder at my son's house

Post by reible »

I have two of these feeders and the squirrels have given up on even trying to get at the seeds. I got this feeder for one of my sons and his squirrels haven't yet learned the lessons so it was fun watching them today.

This is the subtle approach. You make believe you have no interest in the seeds and just want to hang around and rest. A little sunbathing on the deck.

Just start getting a little sleepy looking. Man those eye lids are getting heavy.

Well OK I'll just close my eyes for a moment.

NO! Can't sleep yet I have to get at those seeds! But I don't want them to know my plan so I'll just turn the other way for a moment.

Now I'll make my move, I bet I can catch the feeder off guard from underneath.

Rats, OK back on top for my next attempt.

This time I'll just edge myself over the edge to those seeds.

And so the adventure ends for now.

My squirrels seem to like my feeders as well, suet and seed. They sure are crafty on how they get to them.

I have one of those feeders works great for them not getting to the food. I spray the top with liquid silicon lube, they slide right off.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)
