Anyone know what size the bench & way tubes are on a shorty? I need to make space. Thanks in advance.

That would depend upon how short you want your shorty. Main thing is to keep the bench tubes 3/4" longer than the way tubes.
Cut off 18" seems to be a common opinion.

When I did mine I figured that I'd take off 1/3 or 16". It really depends on what you want and what functions you hope to keep. Of course once it is too short you have a problem.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.
