Mortar and pestle made from mahogany and paduak. SS Power Pro with the universal tool rest and SS turning chisels.

Here's a few I have turned recently with some maple from a neighbor's tree that was felled about 3 months ago. Nothing better than turning free wood.
Most were done on a Harbor Freight Lathe.

Here is one that I did some time ago with a single segmented ring. Then I had to make a set of four more for a friend
Main body is some kind of mahogany possibly luan with a ring of purple heart and yellowheart. Bill V
Tools used were the SS 520 with PP headstock and some work on the Delta 46-460 and finish applied on the SS with a speed reducer to bring the RPM down to about 35 RPM.
OK so I dug another one made with Ambrosia maple with an offset turned highlight in the bottom
