FYI my status will be "missing"

Post by reible »

I'm taking a vacation from all of you and you are getting a vacation from me for the next 10 days or so.

So if you have questions for me hold them or post them but do not expect a quick answer.

No medical issues just going out of state and traveling a bit.

I'm back.

I brought back a video of some eagles for you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9WKKc0Dmeg

As I was leaving Boulder Junction WI I saw an eagle fly up pretty far ahead of me but slowed down anyway thinking I might get a picture if it didn't fly far.

Well then I saw two on the ground, one on top of a road kill deer the other standing near by. I pulled over, not wanting to disturber them. When I got stopped I grabbed the camera and pulled the keys so there would be no beeping when I opened the door. I even managed to close my finger in the door to keep it from making noise..... yea oh ouch.

Got a few pictures and watch for a while. The crows wanted in on the feast but the eagles were having none of that. Cars were going by but the eagles held their ground for quite a while. The the one on the ground flew off. Not too much later the one that had been feeding flew up the hill a bit. As soon as that happened the crows started heading in.

Nature, you can't live without it.
