I suppose it could but it would have to be it would have to be put on the way tubes first and turned around and then the table and carriage put on.This would put the headstock spindle under the table when the table is put in the drill press position..
I may not have thought this through completely though. Also would be a lot of work.

Possible, yes. However the controls(power switch) will be on the 'far' side.
The table elevator(wheel/lever) will need to also be reversed as will the carriage lock.
I know it will work with a M5 or 500. 510/520 models, I have not thought through. Carriage lock is what I have not considered.
