KEEPING THE SHINE

I have a 520 that shines like show room condition. I also have 510 that are not so shiny. Wondering is there anyway to retard the fading/oxidation on the tubes?

I don't see any loss of shine on my 1984 Shopsmith yet. The tubes shouldn't oxidize as they seem to be stainless steel. You might see some minor scuffing on them from the headstock sliding, but unless you live in an ugly humid climate, that should be all.
The only maintenance my tubes get is an occasional application of wax to make things slide easier.
