Carriage Lock assembly

Post by markymark »

I am new to shopsmith, i was given a mark V that had been unused for a while. I disassembled it and cleaned everything and got replacement parts for the parts that needed it is. so now im trying to reassemble everything and im running into an issue with the Carriage Lock. i cant seem to figure out how it it fits back into the carriage. when i place it into its place it doesn't seem to be held in by anything so it just falls back out. If anyone can point me to some resources for reassembling a my shopsmith that would be amazing.
Thanks

SS mark 5 or Mark V 500 or Mark 5 505/510/520?

P.S. If 'away' from the way tubes, then when it is mounted to them, they retain it all.
