Amazon - WOW

Post by jsburger »

I ordered two items from Amazon on Wed 15 Nov at 4:30 MST in the afternoon. It was free shipping (5 to 7 days) but NOT Prime. Tracking said it was not supposed to ship until today (Monday 20 Nov 17). Delivery date was 21-27 Nov.

The door bell rang today (again 20 Nov) and there was a white van in the drive way. No markings, a bit dirty on the outside and the package was on the porch.

This is not the first time this has happened lately. No wonder Amazon is blowing everyone else away.

That's why Malls are so empty. Why put up with all the people and mess when you can sit a home and buy it (usually) cheaper. Frankly between eBay and Amazon I haven't been to a mall in 6 or 7 years. We have an Amazon distribution center about 30 miles away and I have received a few orders the same day with Prime.

It's rarely over 3 days for me. Usually two.
All our Christmas gifts have arrived. All through Amazon. It's going to take longer to wrap them than it took to get them.

Do a search for Amazon and you will see why Amazon is a WOW. They are in an expansion mode and are concentrating on customer service. Of particular interest to me was their offering of local part time jobs to deliver packages. This might explain the white van with no markings.

Their CS is already top notch. I'm sure there are areas of needed improvement but, none come to mind. My experience is 100% positive.
Our family uses not only the market place but, between our sons' families and Phyl and I, we own and use many of the Amazon products. Heck, our TV system is powered by their Fire Stick. No more monthly Direct bills. And, I use the Kindle almost exclusively. Very handy little device.
