Shopsmith = SPAM!

Post by jeffssmith »

Good grief.

Are you kidding me? I bought a new 5/8" arbor part and now I'm on the spam list from heck!

A "blowout" (er, uh...a "BLOWOUT!") or a "CLEARANCE!!!!!" or a "LAST CHANCE" every other day...sometimes twice in the same day?!!?!?

I don't mind hearing of some sale or something once a month or so that I may be interested in....but every darn day? Puhlease.

Use your distribution list responsibly, Mssrs. Smith!! And if you don't care about "netiquette," then at least use your mailing list effectively, because all this does is teach my email client's auto-learning spam filter that anything with "Shopsmith" goes in the spam folder with viagra 'specials' and that uncle of mine from Nigeria who wants to give me a million dollars!

Perhaps you hired someone in India or China to run your internet site? LOL.

Imagejeffssmith,
Glad to have you with us. I am sure that SS does knot want to force these e-mails on to you. There are plenty of others that want them, however. I like getting the ShopSmith offers. I request that "Mssrs. Smith" keep up the good work! The offers are always for less then the regular price, and I enjoy watching for those items that I want and wood otherwise be paying full price for. I am sorry that you find them annoying, jeffssmith. I am sure that you can request that they KNOT be sent to you.:) Just call 1 800 762 7555 M-F 9am -8pm or Sat 9am to 1pm Ohio time.

This isn't SPAM, Jeff. It may be unwanted but it is NOT SPAM. You requested it.

If you don't want to receive these email offerings - Take Your Name Off The Email List.

Most of us work hard to stay on the email list so that we don't miss one of these special offerings. You never know when Shopsmith is going to sell exactly what you want for 50% off.

jeffssmith,

You can click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of the emails, and this will prevent you from getting anymore sale emails.

Just click on the big old blue button in the e-mail to "discontinue" the e-mail. Prominent on the page than any other company has.
When an e-mail can save you $100, $200 or more I will gladly receive them.

i think jeffsmith is overly stating the amount of offers from shopsmith. as stated by others, just remove yourself from the email list.

Isn't interesting how messages which create excitment for some of us are offensive for others?! Jim

Yes, yes it is very interesting. But I will not suggest that we quit talking about this or any other subject.

I received (4) from SS this week. And, I want to receive those emails. There are items, I need or want, and I try to hold off until I receive an email from SS, with those items on sale. I especially liked the ten dollar shipping one. I loaded up on that one.
