Quick Index Quill Feed Handle issue

So I take the handle off one side and put it on the other and I notice it is not being held on????? Looking at it I notice this hole where the magnet should be........ the magnet is still back on the other side.
Looks like a failure of the glue........ Well something to work on. The left over bits look a lot like duco cement but I guess any of that sort of stuff pretty much the same.

Hope you get it repaired. Mine has been one of my favorite upgrades from shopsmith.

I must ask! What is there about this upgrade that makes it your favorite?
When I first became aware of it, I made the snap decision that I did not want/need the quick removal feature since I hardly ever move mine. Why might that have been the wrong decision?

I said one of my favorites! I also understand your skepticism. But to answer your question, I do reposition my handle a fair amount and I find this to be much easier to reposition and it feels more secure (my OEM handle never seemed to tighten). I have one Shopsmith and so frequently reposition that handle. It is especially useful in drill press mode or disc sanding to length. And I frequently move the quill to make fine adjustments when ripping; I get close with the fence and the tweak it with the handle; I find it is easy to position the handle to make the adjustment and then move it out of the way.

Loctite(red or blue) should fix it.

Well it is back together and ready to be put back on. Why so long? Let's start with what happens when you move things in the shop and then can't find them again..... case in point my loctite collection. It use to be on a shelf which I re-purposed but what did I do with the loctite?? Never mind I pick up another tube.
It has had a couple of days drying time in the house so today it goes back in to the shop and back on the shopsmith.
BTW I have another one on order since OCT 18, fast approaching a 3 month back order! I need a bunch of you to order them so they do what ever it is that they need to do to get some in. Anyone else stuck in the same boat?
