Model Sailboat Stand

A friend purchased a model sailboat and asked me to make a stand for it. He removed the mast and rigging and sent it to me and told me to do whatever I wanted. This is the design I came up with. Maple with a tung oil finish. The supports are dowled to the base but not yet glued to facilitate return shipping.

That's a very elegant solution! I'll bet you've got a lot of friends requesting your work...

I'm sure your friend will be happy to display his ship on your stand. The simple design really accentuates the flowing lines of the model.
