The Government has been throwing money at the VA for years. That does not necessarily mean that service is improving.

I don't want to bash the VA but I am yet to be impressed.

Since you don't use the VA how do you know?

That is the problem. The government has not been "throwing money at the VA for years". The VA budget has not advanced to keep up with the need. Particularly since sequestration. Maybe things will change. Director Dr. Shulkin seems committed to it. I get emails at least once a week or more from the VA on what Dr. Shulkin is doing and they are all positive.

Why can't some of us take a positive attitude instead of being negative about things no mater what is proposed. Just give it a chance. It is certainly not going to happen overnight.

Here is a little story. We have a high end local grocery store here. There is young cashier in a wheel chair. He has no legs. He is absolutely effervescent, happy and talks to you with enthusiasm. He got blown up in Afghanistan and will tell you that up front. I have no doubt in my mind that the VA takes care of him very well.

No different than my wife's "daughter" that received a heart transplant from the VA at the University of Utah premier organ transplant hospital.
