Spring Broke
Spring came, pears budded and flowered, DST in place, Mesquites did not bloom.
I warned folks. Last night we had a freeze, and it's up to 32 degrees at 1 PM now.
All those planting that people rushed into the ground last week will likely need to be replaced.
Young guys said it was an "old wives tale" I told them you will see when your wife and you have to get off your tail and visit the nursery again. Might be a good idea to download a set of greenhouse plans so you can be ready to buy those early plantings, but protect them until the mesquites tell you that it's time to plant them.
They now understand it.
Sage advice to watch the sagebrush so to speak. Reckon that's where the 'sage' in the term 'sage advice' came from.

Re: Broken Spring
People get inpatient and jump too early with planting. Spring isn't going to be here for a long time yet. We are having the lastest Spring since 1975. The snow is still coming every couple of days, and most mornings this week the temperature has been down around 0 degrees. Normal temps would be 40 and 50s this time of year, but nothing is normal this year.
Re: Broken Spring
When I saw the title, I'm thinking.
Shouldn't this be in the repair
section?
Last 3 days, all above 90 degrees F.
Next Tuesday, projected, 99!

10 ER, stripped down.
Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.
Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

Re: Broken Spring
Broken is right. I have a brother in northern WI, 4" to 8" snow forecast today leaning towards the 8" and an additional 6" to 10" tomorrow.
Another brother who is more in the middle but eastern part of the state said they had an inch of snow and a half inch of ice this morning. Another 3" to 6" due yet today and then a follow on tomorrow of another 1" to 3".
Yes this sounds like the middle of winter rather then mid April weather. Ski hills might be open all of April this year at least half way up the state.
If not broken then at least strange.

Re: Broken Spring
I don't know. The temps are to be in the 100° range next week. Feels like an early summer is on the way in.
