I have ordered the drive sleeve assembly from shopsmith but it has been on order for over a month so am thinking about replacing bearings myself.
I have never used bearing puller etc. any one able to tell me where to get bearings and how to go about this. I have a 1959 shopsmith with upgraded poly v and double bearing quill.

There is a Shopsmith Bearing Guide in the Bearings folder that has a good bit of information directly related to what you asked.
Most importantly has photos that are hot-linked (that is you can ctrl+click on them ) and they will take you to various posts in threads in the Shopmith forums that discuss these topics in detail, with even more pictures from folks who have been there and done that.
