I have ordered the drive sleeve assembly from shopsmith but it has been on order for over a month so am thinking about replacing bearings myself.
I have never used bearing puller etc. any one able to tell me where to get bearings and how to go about this. I have a 1959 shopsmith with upgraded poly v and double bearing quill.

There is a Shopsmith Bearing Guide in the Bearings folder that has a good bit of information directly related to what you asked.
