Using $3G Shopsmith as a fine Height Gage

Oh, I suppose I do more useless tool-tinkering than woodworking projects sometimes...
Here I have offset my 510's Main Table and Extension Table a couple of times, and used a sharp blade to mark a busted plane-tote exactly horizontally:
Those markings aid in taking the busted halves to dead-flats on the sander:
Typical outcome will be like the following;
