TSIII Ultra Review/Setup

I finally have the Incra TSIII Ultra System Setup

I had some issues with the way SS had designed the setup.

1) I did not like the idea of a supposedly accurate system being supported by telescoping legs.

2) I wanted to beable to use my jointer at the same time

3) I"ll try to explain what I did, any negative issues, and the positive.

First off, I decided in order to get a 4 point anchor, I would need to use the fixed auxiliary table. Since, I also wanted to have the jointer mounted at the same time, I didn't have enough room to get the router table in between the main table and the auxiliary table. I was shy about 3/8". Then I noticed the legs were offset, so I turned the table 180 degrees. Plenty of room now, but now the tubes don't line up. Looking under the table, I noticed another set of holes that could be tapped, allowing me to move the support legs back. I did not want to mess with my original table, so I bought another off ebay.

This is my first time posting, so hopefully I did everything correctly.

Ok, I guess, I did it wrong. I wanted the photos to show up in the thread, so I could comment on each one.

3rd is Woodhaven router table with the predrilled holes in the wrong location.

Three more photos.

1st photo, 0.031" out of flatness, Woodhaven, says they are allowed .001 per inch

2nd photo, missing Micro Adjust Scale. An email to Incra, and it was sent to me within 3 days

3rd photo, the complete setup.

Review:

Woodhaven is a negative: Predrilled holes in the wrong place, flatness out of tolerance. Having to remove the aluminum angle, and adjust the alignment holes is a negative, not sure if this is Woodhaven or SS.

Shopsmith is a negative: I thought the overall design of stability for such a very expensive (dial in accuraccy) was poor. I could just see me accidently bumping one of those telescoping legs and having to go through the setup all over again.

Incra TSIII is a positive: They responded quickly to the missing part. The system seems to be very accurate and rigid

Question, how do you get the photo's to show up in the thread, instead of as attachments?

After you have uploaded the images that you want to post, click on the paper clip "again". This takes you to the Manage Attachments drop down. Click there and your images will be added to the post.

Does Woodhaven still sell a router table for the 510 or was this table a now discontinued SS item?

The router table by Woodhaven is sold with the Ultimate Fence/Router System Package. I don't know if this can be ordered separately.

I bought a plate for woodpeck.com which I think will be much better than the one from Woodhaven. One thing on my router table is that neither plate fit in the table - it was too tight so I spent an hour or so hand sanding the 4 inside edges until I could get them in. The plate from woodpeck is a little tighter, but that's probably a good thing.

What does the Incra scale look like that you're missing. I just got my Incra package but haven't gone through it yet so I want to make sure I got one - if not then I'll have to contact Incra as well.
