Wixey Digital Planer Thickness Gauge

I have a Shopsmith Pro Planer. Has anyone added a Wixey Digital Planer Thickness Gauge to their Pro Planer or know of any thread or post with or without pictures about there experences in doing this? Any highlights would be welcome. Thank You. :)
