500 Saw arbors

Hi a quick first question.

Can 500 saw arbors be used on a 510 ?

That depends on which arbor. The 510, 505, 520 and Mark 7 use longer arbors due to the design of the lower Saw Blade Guard. The 1-1/4" and 5/8" saw blade arbors need to be the longer ones made for it. The Sanding Disk needs to be the longer arbor one if being used with the lower Saw Blade Guard for dust collection. Universal arbors like P/N 505506 the Molder/ Dado arbor is used on all models of the Mark V. That's the short version of the answer. If you need more just ask.

Quick short answer yes.

Longer answer - But the quill must be extended so the blade aligns with the slot. As long as the arbor does not then interfere with the trunion etc. . . . BUT if using a saw guard, the answer changes since an additional candidate for interference becomes relevant.
