Why do it this way?

I recently viewed on "Chip's Wood Shop" a video on using a shopsmith to tap threads. Great idea. But why, unless I already had it, do I need an adapter for a SS router bit when I already have one of these? And so do you. No set up required.

Sanding disk works fine also. Just remember that you left it up there.

I second a sanding disk. That's what I used when I threaded a bunch of 80/20 aluminum extrusion used in building my first CNC.

Nix on the crescent wrench(if it slips it may mar the shaft).
Sanding disk will work fine BTDT.
Leaving wrench is worse than leaving the chuck key attached!!!!

Well then, no more bright ideas for you! Unless (until) I get another one. Spanner is out, Disk is in.
