Which coupler is needed for a 1963 Goldie? The part indicated in the other thread says it is for 1985 and later models. Thanks.....BB

Coupler For Accessories (spt)

Post by JPG »

Pn 503574 Is The Coupler Only. Mk V & Accessory "must" Have Hubs To Use.

Pn 555124 Is A "kit" Containing A{coupler}; B{hub For Mk V}; And, C{hub For Accessory(spt)}.

These Parts Are Interchangable With Similar Parts Of Previous Designs. Some Are Open On Both Ends, Some One End Only; Some Are Longer Than Others. Coupler Is Also Compatible With Power Station Spindle.

The Spt End Has 5 Grooves, The Mk V End Has 4 Grooves.

The "kit" Was Included With SS Mk V After April 1985 As Std Equipment.

What the others are trying to tell you, is there is only one power coupler; it will work on all Mark V's. It was knot included as standard equipment until 1985. When you buy a Mark V new, you do knot need the coupler, unless you also buy an SPT or two. That is why they did knot include it as standard equipment before 1985.
