New here. Just Inherited a Model 10-ER
Greetings. I'm a woodworker and am familiar with the modern Shopsmith units (I don't own one). I just inherited a Shopsmith Model 10-ER. This is in remarkable shape. With it came all the original manuals (copyright 1950 by Magna Engineering Corp), price list, additional papers, packing list, and nice brochure given out by Montgomery Ward listing the price of this unit at $189.50 without motor and with motor for $224.00. Included was a box full of accessories and original boxed set of lathe tools. It powers up just fine. I already own most of the stationary tools this unit offers and really have no use for it. Is there a market for this unit? I'm considering selling it but won't make that decision until I are more informed on what I have. Any knowledge or information you could share with me would be appreciated.
Hi roco,
A few members in http://www.shopsmith.net/forums have 10ER's and may wish to comment here. However I suspect you may find more response along your particular curiosity on http://www.ssug.org.
