Introduction of the Shopsmith 18" Jigsaw SPT (Special Purpose Tool)

Post by Chad »

My Growth Rings with Scott Markwood

SHOP NOTES: The Shopsmith 18" jigsaw was the state of the art for many years, though it was later replaced for scroll and fretwork by constant-tension scroll saws. Even so, it's a great tool for simple jigsaw work and even better it can do a few tricks that you can't do with a scroll saw. This video covers the basic setup and use of this tool and we'll get into those tricks in next weekend's video. This saw was originally sold as the Model 610 and later was changed to Model 505664

💡 Here's an idea: If you aren't ready or able to join the channel, you can always support the channel by watching, clicking the thumbs-up, commenting, sharing, and by clicking through the provided links whenever you are shopping on Amazon or eBay. 🟢 I've created an Amazon list of many of the tools that I have found to be indispensable in my shop. http://a.co/0GLhuR2 You may have to click the "Filter" link to show the items in the list. I suggest sorting them by priority.
