The Shopsmith 18" jigsaw was the state of the art for many years, though it was later replaced for scroll and fretwork by constant-tension scroll saws. As we saw last week it's a fine jigsaw, but this we will explore the first of two neat tricks it can perform, and that is it can be used as a saber saw, or as some would call it, a "BladeRunner X2".
