The "Business End" of the Shopsmith Bandsaw: Upper and Lower Guides and Bearings

Post by Chad »

SHOP NOTES: Previously we investigated the Auto-Tracking and the Tension System of the Shopsmith 11" bandsaw, so in this video, we will move to the "Business End" of the saw and study the Upper and Lover blade guides and thrust bearing. We also talk a bit about the evolution of modern bandsaws and even take a brief look at a Taiwanese clone of the Shopsmith bandsaw, which was imported and sold by Total Shop.

SHOP NOTES:
This video we will tackle Q&A's from my last video: "The "Business End" of the Shopsmith Bandsaw: Upper & Lower Guides & Bearings"

Welcome to the first mid-week MGRs video, "STUMPED? Q&A" Why "STUMPED? Q&A?" Well, I asked viewers a week ago to suggest a good name for a follow-up show and while there were a bunch of wonderful suggestions, few conveyed the idea that what you are about to see is something new, but on a topic we've already covered. Another that I really liked was "Refinished", but I'm concerned that the YouTube algorithm will disappoint people who are looking for tips on refinishing!
