IF the lock is OEM I can provide a key.

I am surprised that someone replaced/altered one of those MVII locks.

JPG wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 10:49 am A wide MVII (14 rib) poly-v belt is available on line from Band Saw Tire Warehouse. I may have influenced him to get some made, so i would appreciate it if you would purchase one(or two).

Motor belt proper length is a bit murky.

I DO recommend having a spare.
JPG- I found the belt on eBay but it states (13 rib) ? Is this the correct one? Thanks!!

13 is correct. M5 = 9 + 4 = 13. Had 4 on my mind(my bad).

P.S. Are there three letters on the face of the lock? YPP would be 'nice'.

Hi Mike,
Glad to see your making progress on your MKVII restore, especially with the hard to find parts.
I'm happy with mine as it is (good cond and runs just fine) but I can't wait to see yours when it's done.

JPG- thank you for the kind offer, I’m going to take a look tomorrow.

Miken- you are a gentleman and a scholar, not necessarily in that order;-) thank you

lahola1- I’m making a little progress but family 1st this week

Does anybody know how I can get notifications from posts that I’m involved in? I checked every box as far as I know…secret password required? I have subscribed and still nothing. I’m sure it’s operator error but I’ve gone through everything multiple times.

PM me thy snail mail address. I can get a key made from one I have. "YPP" stands for Yuba Power Products and the lock was made by Chicago Lock Co. Both the MVII and the Sawsmith use that lock. It is a double sided cut.
