Mark VII Motor in Mark V Headstock?

I'm able to get my hands on a Mark VII headstock and wondering if I could swap the reversible motor and switch into a Mark V headstock. Never seen the inside of a Mark VII, so don't know if mounting holes and drive pully system are the same.

Make sure there are 6 wires coming from the motor as I have found 2 Mark VII that only had an ON/OFF push button switch with 2 wires from the motor.

I have done one conversion. I sawed the dust collector shaft off at the back of the motor. I had to use 2 motor mounts identical to the removable back motor mount on most Mark 5 motors. You may be able to bend the Mark VII motor mounts but I did not try at the time. I took a measurement as to where the mark 5 fan sheave was in relationship to the motor pan edge and drilled new holes in the motor pan to match the motor mount holes after positioning the Mark VII motor fan sheave to the same location as the Mark 5 motor fan sheave. I installed the FWD/REV toggle switch (6 terminals) on the front side of the motor pan for the 4 motor start winding wires. I have a wiring diagram for the A O Smith Mark VII motor but believe the GE motor would be similar.

You must be real careful that when using the REV position, that there is no arbor or equipment attached that can unlock/unscrew/loosen attached to the headstock. Having a saw blade chasing you across the floor is very dangerous and is not fun. I am sure this was a problem with the Mark VII if non-Mark VII arbors and/or equipment were used.
