The Lady Made an Offer I Couldn’t Refuse

Everything was complete, clean with no scuff marks or signs of wear (except the pulley at the top). Even the 1995 Instruction Manual and the miter gage. I did some disassembly to blow out ancient dust and wipe things down. “I’ll let you have it for $20.”

This is a Model 31-080 1” Belt / 5” Disc Sander. Now I need to know what belts to get for it that are good quality. I bought some sandpaper from Lee Valley a few years ago and it is very good. Every recommendation on the internet seems to be ad driven now so I don’t trust any of that.

David,

I bought the harbor freight copy of that sander many years ago. The HF sanding belts have worked fine for me, here's an aluminum zirconia belt as an example, looks like it's stocked at all the OKC area stores; https://www.harborfreight.com/1-in-x-30 ... 60424.html. If you want a wider selection of grits, you might look at Klingspor; https://www.woodworkingshop.com/abrasiv ... 0X%2030%22.
