My secondhand Mark V 510 came with the pivoting top brackets for the telescoping support legs, but not the legs themselves. I'm thinking about making my own support legs, probably from wood. I'm looking for ideas. I thought there was an old thread on this topic with some photos but I can't find it.

Does anyone have a link to that thread or any ideas they can share?

I abandoned the collapsible SS legs long ago. I use telescopic paint roller handles that I purchase at a paint store.

Some have been modified others not.

I actually have one of those in my basement. I'll have to see if it can be adapted.

I still might want to make something out of wood. I have a Shopsmith, so I should make things . . . right?

It looks simple and sturdy. I think I'll borrow ideas from that one.

The telescoping is what's difficult to achieve. The legs are made to be used at different heights for all the possible table heights and tilting. Somewhere on my list of things I want to do someday is make some legs with long screws for height adjustment. Not necessarily for all possible heights but some practical height with possibly as much as 12" of adjustment range. But the important part to me is making the length adjustable at the top so I don't have to bend over to do it. I can usually swing the legs up and adjust them without stooping, but it's kind of clumsy and difficult to set them just right. I think I'd add something springy to press against the floor or the tube for contact that won't easily knock out. I don't need to work out any more detail yet because it's unlikely I'll ever get that far down on that list.

I did some looking into this a while back, but didn't finish it. I was going to buy 1 or 2 products and experiment. I will just post the links. To me, it looks like there are some more robust solutions out there. What inspired me was my DSLR camera gear and how strong and robust good quality tripod legs are for camera equipment. I hadn't figured out an attachment means so like I said I didn't finish this little thought experiment yet. I will post the links below as perhaps inspiration for what could be done.
