All
I have seen pictures of storage units attached to a Mark 5 underneath to hold the various accessories.
Does anyone have any plans on information on these? It would seem like a project that all owners would want to build.

I use the storage cabinets (vertically attached), a shelf under my accessory tool storage stand as well as the accessory shelf. I don't have the storage cabinets under my Mark V because of the lift assist.

I made that one years ago also. I modified it so the bar over the tubes is u shaped and the top of the cabinet is straight. Roll the SS over the cabinet, lower, bolt on the u, raise the cabinet.

Here's one that I made - a bit different, but as you can read in my post, it does result in table limitations. Alec

I have been looking at those "tower" pictures some more and while I have something a little different in mind the tower concept is making me to rethink some of my storage planning. I was planning on mounting most of my SS items on one section of wall and creating a "U" shaped area there to make more storage room. One problem is that the corner I was thinking of using is maybe 36' from the farthest Shopsmith. A tower unit on wheels could be easily rolled to the area where I was working rather than walking back and forth all day to get the things I forgot three times already.
I have a metal rack on wheels like this one:

Mine is a little narrower than the one in the picture and my shelves are solid instead of slats. The way I am thinking is that the I will attach "T" slot plywood all around the inside and outside both sandwiching the metal frame between the inner and outer layer and for some items I would build custom brackets and supports. Other items would just hang with T-slot hangers. Most of the weight would be in the center and down low so it should be pretty stable. They carry a 1200# load rating. If I think it needs any more stability I can remake the lower frame a little bigger and move the wheels out a little in all directions. They typically load these things up with something like 80 to 100 gallons of milk so it should not have any trouble with a few SS accessories.
