joevash,

Welcome to the Shopsmith Forum.

Because the Magna/Shopsmith Jig Saw went out of production some time ago it is more difficult to find parts for them. I don't believe Shopsmith has any new replacement parts left for the Jig Saw. Partial Jig Saw assemblies can be found from time to time but individual parts or smaller assemblies like the Lower Chuck are harder to find. You may want to consider buying the Lower Housing Assembly that has a complete lower chuck. A plus to that is additional parts in it may be needed in the future. From its introduction in 1954 the Magna Model 610 Jig Saw didn't have a lot of changes so most parts are interchangeable individually between the first Magna/Shopsmith Jig Saws and the later ones before it was discontinued around 1988. Other parts may have to be changed as partial assemblies.
