Shopsmith Professional Planer Valve

Post by rcsaylor »

Shopsmith professional planer valve. How much is it worth? What would you pay for it? There is one for sale close to me that is in excellent condition. The person selling is asking $700.00. I think that is high. I'm thinking of offering $500.00

There are a lot of things to consider in the value of any used tool. Condition, completeness and extra accessories all figure in to its value. Even how motivated the seller is in getting it sold. For the Planer it being a Pro Planer which comes on its own stand with a motor is a plus. The condition of the knives, infeed and outfeed rollers, and are there any needed replacement parts changes the value. Does the motor and the feed motor work. There is nothing wrong with offering a lower amount. The asking price for tools listed for sale is often not the price they sell for.
